Oregon Drug Offenses

Drug offenses in Oregon are classified according to “Schedule”as defined by the Legislature. It is unlawful for any person to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance. The five schedules are:

Schedule I: Examples include Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine. Schedule I offenses are a Class A felony.

Schedule II: Examples include Unlawful Manufacture of Cocaine and Unlawful Delivery of Cocaine. Schedule II offenses are a Class B felony.

Schedule III: Examples include Unlawful Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School and Unlawful Delivery to Minors. Schedule III offenses are a Class C Felony.

Schedule IV: A controlled substance in Schedule IV is a Class B Misdemeanor.

Schedule V: A controlled substance in Schedule V is a Class C Misdemeanor.

What is Drug Court?

Marion County Adult Drug Court is designed to facilitate treatment and rehabilitation of non-violent misdemeanor and medium to high-risk felony drug offenders. The program combines Drug Court concepts with integrated human services to provide meaningful interventions to these individuals and their families. Program participants undergo an intense regimen of substance abuse and mental health treatment, case management, drug testing, and probation supervision while reporting to regularly scheduled status hearings before a judge.  The Adult Drug Court Team consists of individuals from multiple disciplines and professions who share a commitment to the Drug Court model of treatment.
